Why do some Disney films never air on television?

Sometimes on the Disney channel or Disney XD, you can find Disney animated clics like Robin Hood, The Rescuers, The Emperor's New Groove, The Fox and the Hound, etc. Most of the Pixar films air as well. But how come some are never aired, like The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, etc.? I own these films so it's not that I'm concerned with never seeing them, I'm just curious of why some are played often on TV and some aren't aired at all.
